Sheila Y. Woods brings more than 20 years of accounting, finance, tax, and business experience to MyAcadia, LLC. As the firm's founder, she works with individuals, entrepreneurs, and small to mid-size businesses to bring clarity to their finances, strengthen their accounting processes, navigate tax obligations, and make informed financial decisions.
Sheila founded MyAcadia with a simple belief: individuals and business owners deserve access to affordable, practical accounting and tax services — and an honest, knowledgeable partner who understands that good financial guidance should support both the numbers and the decisions behind them. Her approach focuses on making complex financial matters understandable while providing clients with practical solutions they can actually use.
In addition to her professional accounting and finance experience, Sheila is an experienced college professor who teaches accounting and business courses and has spent more than 15 years helping students and professionals understand complex financial concepts in practical, approachable ways. Her combination of corporate experience, entrepreneurship, and education shapes MyAcadia's philosophy: clients should not simply receive numbers — they should understand what those numbers mean and how to use them to make better decisions.
Sheila is also the owner of Sheila Y. Woods LLC, a separately licensed CPA firm through which applicable attest and specialized public accountancy services are provided.
